Intersectoral alliances for ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change and the promotion of tourism.

Projects focused on ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) require a continuous flow of capital to achieve their maximum benefits.

That is, it is important to ensure financing during the design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring and evaluation phases. Therefore, co-responsibility and contribution amongst different sectors is essential.

ADAPTUR developed a tool called “Construction of financial mechanisms mode” which allows implementers to develop mechanisms to obtain seed capital and trigger the start of the project. For more information, consult the ADAPTUR methodology.

Additionally, "Project Portfolios" were designed, which clearly and visually communicate the objectives, actions and costs of EbA project implementation in order to manage financing with the private sector.
