What is Adaptur?

ADAPTUR (Ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change in the tourism sector) was implemented in six tourist destinations in Mexico between 2017 and 2023. We formed a strategic alliance with key actors from the public, private, social and academic sectors at the national and subnational levels.

Today, it is a methodology aimed at reducing the risks of tourism by protecting its natural capital and ecosystem services, through the implementation of ecosystem-based adaptation measures (EbA), applicable in any tourist destination in the world.
